Local Legends Presents
An Ontario wide Two-Man Amateur Match Play Tournament. Play one match every 3 weeks From May to October in your region. Compete and climb the bracket in this double elimination format to advance to the sudden death playoff rounds. Winners from each bracket will win a fully paid golf trip to the finals in Los Cabos Mexico. Play exciting new courses, meet fellow avid golfers, and bring your competitive spirit to this fun and thrilling summer-long event.
Register to Become a Legend
- Register before April 27th, 2026.
- Only the team Captain needs to register and pay the team fee. Enter your partner's email and they will be invited to join your team.You can also invite 2 reserve players.
- All players must have an official handicap and proof of a minimum 6 registered handicap rounds.
- Handicaps above 18 will be reduced to 18 for tournament play.
- Players must be 18 years or older at the start of tournament play.
*Local Legends will refund your registration fee if we cannot form a bracket in your region.
Swing Your Swing
- Regional match-ups begin May 1st, 2026.
- 3 week time frames to play each match.
- Our platform will make it easy to chat with your opponents to schedule the time, place and date to play.
- The designated home team will choose the course for the match.
- Players cover all green fees.
- Win , advance , repeat.

Tournament Format
Two-Man Net Better Ball:
Each player on a team plays their own ball throughout the hole. The team's score for the hole is the lowest net score (after applying each player's handicap) between the two players.
Handicap Adjustments:
The net score is calculated by taking each player's actual score for the hole and then subtracting their handicap (90 Percent). The team's score for the hole will be the lower of the two net scores.
Double Elimination:
Every team will play at least two matches. If a team loses the first match, they will continue in the losers' bracket. A second loss eliminates the team from the tournament.
Match Play Format:
A head-to-head format where teams compete hole by hole. The team with the lowest net score on each hole wins that hole.
Single Elimination Playoffs:
Once in playoffs, teams are eliminated immediately after a loss. There are no second chances in this stage.
The Finals - Los Cabos
The best oceanfront golf awaits the finalist in Los Cabos.
Regional winners will enjoy:
An all-inclusive, 5-night trip to Los Cabos.
Each team will compete over 3 rounds of golf at top-tier courses, including Solmar Golf Links, Quivira Golf Club, and more!
Daily swag and prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive etc.
