Local Legends Mission
At Local Legends Golf, our mission is to unite amateur golfers across North America through a premier golf tournament featuring flexible scheduling. We blend competition, camaraderie, and community by connecting golfers with local competitors, providing opportunities to enhance their skills, expand their networks, and experience the excitement of the game on new courses. Our summer-long tournament culminates in a grand prize for regional winners, fostering a sense of achievement and a lasting love for the sport.
About The Founders
Paul: Co-Founder
As a retired professional hockey player, I’ve begun dedicating my free time to my second passion – golf.
Over my hockey career, and through personal travels, I’ve been lucky enough to play some of the top golf courses around the world. I’ve also organized and played in numerous tournaments – gaining first-hand knowledge on what it takes to not only run a successful tournament, but more so, what players are looking for in terms of an experience.
Competition is in my blood, and it’s the beating heart of Local Legends. Our goal is to create a truly competitive tournament for amateur golfers – giving them the opportunity to compete at a high level, while playing some top-tier, bucket list courses. Because at the end of the day that’s an experience where legends are born.

As a local business owner and avid golfer, I’ve always had ambitions of organizing an international tournament where amateur golfers could have the chance to play meaningful rounds, in a competitive team format.
After organizing several local tournaments over the years and playing some of the top golf courses around the world—including Medinah, Pebble Beach, Spy Glass, TPC Scottsdale, and several in Dubai—I was inspired to make Local Legends a reality.
With Local Legends, everyone from weekend warriors to scratch golfers can compete for the chance to become a legend themselves. Being able to bring home the trophy from a tournament like that? I think that’s a story every golfer dreams of telling.
